This is our line for distributors to market toward quality conscious dealers or end users looking for an higher performance than original equipment starters. You will note that the part # ends in –G for all of these “Gold series” starters. We feel that our competitive pricing, 4 color packaging, and improvement on OE quality allow our distributors an opportunity to offer higher quality starters to any dealer/repair shop at aftermarket pricing. To improve upon OE specifications, where applicable, we use double seals on the collars of these starters, compared to OE starters which use 1 seal. We also use specially designed heavy duty armatures along with 4 brush sets, where OE starters use only a 2 brush set to assist with better torque and overall power. In certain applications we are also able to incorporate a large alternator bearing into the drive-ends of our units instead of needle bearings. We feel these are a more sound design and helps to stop water intrusion and cuts down armature ripple. Parts are packaged in our Blue PROTORQUE boxes with Gold PROTORQUE stickers on the units and come with a full 2 year warranty from date of sale. For the minimal difference in price as compared to the OE Equivalent starters, most of our upper echelon customers and race teams buy this line hands down.
